Ritah Akinyi – Operations & Community Engagement

If you’ve ever interacted with any of our programs, chances are you’ve felt the results of Rita
Ochieng’s work even if you didn’t see her front and center. Rita Ochieng is our Admin and
Logistics Lead at Community Voices Network, and she’s one of the key reasons our programs
and logistics run smoothly.

While others are still catching up, Rita has already secured the venue,coordinated transport, printed materials, mobilized participants and made sure all is ready. Well,
she’s definitely the calm behind our chaos and loud personalities!As a young woman who got
pregnant at teen age, her story fuels her passion for sexual reproductive health and education for
girls and boys.On any given Saturday afternoon, when everyone considers it as a rest day, she’s

already there running adolescent program Dance4choice, a dance program she initiated to
empower adolescent girls and boys to make informed choices.As our admin and community
focal person, she is not just a contact, but a trusted person. It’s uniquely beautiful how she makes
everything accountable. Ritah is gentle, firm, passionate and present. We continue to appreciate
her contribution and efforts!
