Mercy Mugecha – Communications Lead

We shine light on Mercy Mugecha, one of the founding members of Community Voices Network
and our current Communications Lead. Mercy wears many hats, she is a poet, a writer, a
passionate a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights advocate and a gender and development
student at Kenyatta University.

Mercy’s vibrancy radiates through rooms, her knack for words ensures our posts are authentic, well-crafted and always attuned to the diverse online community
needs. She is curious, quickly adaptable and always committed to offering a helping hand to the
entire Community Voices Network family.Through poetry and her authorship, Mercy shares
impactful craft promoting advocacy and influencing adolescents and youth behavior. Mercy has
contributed to prominent Kenyan media outlets, including The Standard, Daily Nation, and The
Star. Her articles address pressing social justice issues such as teenage pregnancy, and gender-
based violence. Mercy Mugecha is not just part of our team; she is our pillar. We are inspired by
her vibe, energy and commitment to advancing sexual reproductive health and rights.
